Dear Friends,
We are less than six weeks away from a critical decision here in Whatcom County. Do you want more of the same out of Olympia, or are you ready for a change?
My opponent and her majority party have spent the last two years making our community less safe and less affordable. Some of it has been by design; some of it has stemmed from their naiveté. None of it is okay. You—the voters in the 42nd District—deserve much better representation.
I was humbled and honored to make it through the recent Primary. The numbers were very encouraging, but I have a lot of work to do between now and November.
If you’re tired of the lawlessness on the streets, the soaring inflation, and the constant disregard that the Governor shows toward anyone who questions his emergency powers, consider donating to my campaign. Now is the time to band together, take back a legislative seat, and send a resounding message to the establishment in Olympia that we are capable of so much more.
We can win this race. The majority party knows this and are scrambling to maintain their power in Olympia. Just this week the House Democratic Campaign Committee injected $85,000 into my opponent’s campaign, putting her almost $150,000 ahead of me in contributions. With your help we can close this gap and secure a win in November. I have a tactical strategy to win this campaign and maximize every single dollar received. Please consider making a donation today!
Here’s a little about me: I’m a wife and a mother. I was born and raised in Lynden. I’m a 25-year veteran of law enforcement and professional problem solver. I know the messes that await me in Olympia, and I have the background and skill set to clean them up. Today, we are less safe.
I know firsthand what happens when Olympia hampers law enforcement. Crime skyrockets and families feel endangered. My own husband was recently shot in the line of duty.
How many more officers have to be hurt before we abandon the soft-on-crime rhetoric of the majority party and embrace law and order again?
Today, almost everything is less affordable.
Gas, groceries, and housing have all gotten more expensive, and personal incomes can’t keep up. Inflation is taking its toll, and Olympia has done little to address it. Our leaders have the capacity but lack the political will.
The majority party would rather spend your money than return it to you in the form of a tax break, even when there is a surplus on hand. My approach will be to put you and your pocketbooks first.
We cannot leave those who created the problem in charge of the solution.
I cannot get to Olympia without your support. Please consider investing in my campaign so I can be your voice for a safer Whatcom County. The max individual donation amount is $1,000, but any amount helps.
The 42nd District is always the most hotly-contested political battleground in the state. With your help, let’s flip a seat a two, return commonsense to Olympia, and put you the people first again.
Donations can be made online at www.Tawsha.com or by writing a check and returning it in the remit envelope enclosed.
Thank you for your investment in a safer Whatcom County. If you would like to learn more about
