FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Bellingham, WA, July 22, 2025: Primary election ballots were
mailed to, most but not all, registered voters on Wednesday, July
16. To check if a ballot was mailed to you, log in to www.VoteWA.gov. Any registered
voter that was mailed a ballot and has not yet received it should contact the Election
Division for a replacement. Whatcom County residents still needing to register or
update their address online or by mail can do so through Monday, July 28. Anyone that
misses the July 28 deadline can still register to vote or update their registration but
must do so in person.
Do you need to register to vote? You can complete your voter registration and address
updates online at www.VoteWA.gov.
Ballots can be returned in an official ballot drop box or by mail. If you are using an
official ballot drop box, ballots must be returned in an official ballot drop box by 8:00 pm
sharp on Election Day, August 5. All 23 official ballot drop boxes are open and the
locations are printed on the insert that is enclosed with the ballot, in the Local Voters’
Pamphlet, and posted online at https://www.whatcomcounty.us/CurrentElection
If you are returning your ballot by mail, the return envelope be postmarked by Election Day,
August 5, for your ballot to be counted.
