We made it through the January Caucus with great success despite the extreme cold! Moving forward there are a total of 225 delegates and 55 alternates that were elected to the County Convention which is going to be held at Meridian High School on February 24.
At the caucus we conducted a straw poll regarding presidential candidates, and those results are as follows:
Trump 63.3%
Uncommitted 19.5%
DeSantis 8.9%
Haley 6.5%
Vivek 1.7%
On our website you will find a sign-up form and payment page that will get you registered for the convention. I am in the process of creating a “Frequently Asked Questions” section on the convention page that will help detail duties and responsibilities of delegates and alternates.
I have reached out to some candidates running for state office in hopes that they can attend our convention as well as speak briefly about their platforms. The website will be updated as that information becomes available.
After the County Convention we will be preparing for our annual Lincoln Day Dinner which will be held on March 23 and then the Washington State Convention, April 19-20, so we have a busy spring ahead of us.
