FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Bellingham, WA, April 21, 2026: With the Special Election for Lynden School District 504 just 7 days away, voters are reminded to vote and return ballots by Tuesday, April 28. As of Monday, April 20, 2,915 ballots have been received by the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office.
If you haven’t received your ballot, please immediately contact the Auditor’s Office - Election Division at (360) 778-5102. Anyone wanting to register to vote or update their registration must do so in-person at the Whatcom County Courthouse.
Returning Your Ballot:
By Official Ballot Drop Box – boxes close at 8:00 pm sharp on April 28.
Available locations:
Bellingham - 311 Grand Avenue, Whatcom County Courthouse, inside Auditor’s Office during business hours
Bellingham - 247 Grand Avenue, In south parking lot of Courthouse
Everson - 106 E Main Street, WECU parking lot
Lynden - 216 4th Street, behind Lynden Library
Meridian - 6172 Guide Meridian, Laurel Grange parking lot
By Mail-
No stamp needed. Ballots must be postmarked by April 28. The United States Postal Service (USPS) recommends mailing by Tuesday April 21 to ensure a postmark by election day.

Text “VOTE” to 868392 to receive a text message when we receive and accept your ballot. You can also track the status of your ballot through www.VoteWA.gov.
