Statement: I was born and raised here in the place we all call home. I worked on farms, in berry processing, retail and hospitality. I’m most proud of my 28 years of service through my work at the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office. The responsibilities of Sheriff are extensive and complex, coming with 200+ employees, multiple internal departments, and a $41 million annual budget that demands efficiency and high performance. I offer the depth and breadth of experience within the WCSO and extensive knowledge of Whatcom County that my opponent doesn’t. I’m honored to have earned five-term Sheriff Bill Elfo’s endorsement. It’s critical that your new Sheriff be ready to hit the ground running. The safety of our community can’t wait for someone to get up to speed.
