Community Service

Volunteer firefighter for twenty-five years at three different fire departments. Member of the Flood Control District Advisory Committee, Whatcom County Housing Advisory Committee, and Small Cities Partnership. Community Outreach Leader at my local Church. I'm actively involved in organizing and supporting local fundraising opportunities and efforts.

I demonstrated strong leadership during the darkest days of the Whatcom County flood response efforts by assisting those in need. My actions have earned the respect of local and regional leaders as I have humbly served my community. As a business owner, mayor, and volunteer, I have brought the community together to solve challenging problems.

I want to bring this same leadership to the 42nd District. My priority is to pass to our children and future generations a stronger and more vibrant community. I am committed to better representing your interests, and to put people first.
