WCRP Chair Charlie Crabtree filed a complaint with the Public Disclosure Commission regarding unreported campaign activity.
“Some of these environmental non profit organizations are getting way out of control and in this case there is a blatant violation of the PDC Statutes”, said Crabtree.“It’s bad enough that we don’t know where the money donated comes from with this 501C3 Non Profit organization; now they think they can campaign for a proposition without reporting donations and expenditures to the Public Disclosure Commission.”
The complaint also charges that RE Sources has not filed a C-1 or C-1PC to form a PAC and has not filed a C-3 or C-4 to report any expenditure or donation since the County Council put the proposition on the ballot.

I am not sure I understand all of this but if it is a nonprofit then aren’t their records open to the public? Also are nonprofits forbidden to join into anything political? I like to see who is supporting each candidate as then I know who they might owe once elected or whose agenda they might agree with, but never thought about any nonprofit ever taking sides. Bad for business and future donations I would think if they took sides.

Thank you. What they have done to subvert the Charter Commission is extremely corrupt to begin with. As a register voter, I feel injured by their activities. To top it off, putting a proglodyte shill in place when a conservative commissioner retired last summer just does not pass the smell test.
