An election for one seat on the Whatcom Conservation District Board will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the District’s office at 6975 Hannegan Road, Lynden. Polls will be open between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. All registered voters residing within Whatcom County may vote in person at that date, place, and time or by mail. Mail-in ballots are only available upon request, which must be made no later than 4:00 pm on February 14, 2017.

The candidates are, in alphabetical order (click the names to see their bios),
- Heather Christianson – bio lists her as a Precinct Committee Officer, Precinct #114 (Democrat).
- Roderic Perry – party affinity has been observed as “soft Democrat”.
- Suzzi (Suzanne) Snydar – party affinity has been observed as “soft Republican”.
In the Feb. 11 central committee meeting, the Whatcom Republicans voted to support Suzzi Snydar for the Whatcom Conservation District Supervisor position.
