NATIONAL PUBLIC DEBT IS OUR OVER ARCHING PROBLEM

Our freedom as private citizens and as legislators at every level of government is now constrained; our children will be enslaved by this debt.

This cannot be our generation’s legacy.

Unfunded social security obligations, Medicare entitlements, growing interest on our debt are a threat.

This cannot be our generation’s legacy.

Our National Debt is over 12 TRILLION dollars and climbing EXPONENTIALLY.

This cannot be our generation’s legacy.

Medicare and social security cannot be sustained.

This cannot be our generation’s legacy.

Average Washington public sector wages and salaries exceed average private sector wages and salaries.

This cannot be our generation’s legacy.

We now face economic suicide and we are on the road to serfdom.

This cannot be our generation’s legacy.

Whatcom County Republicans recognize that at no time since WWII has our nation been under greater threat, 9-11 included. The present threat is mostly economic, too many takers and not enough producers.  Americans will never be able to pursue life and liberty in an era of unlimited government and unchecked national debt.

Each of these planks of the 2010 Republican Platform has its own debt reducing ideas.
