BLAINE-State Representative Jason Overstreet has announced his candidacy for re-election to the 42nd Legislative District House seat. Overstreet, 37, is a U.S. Army veteran, professional firefighter of 12 years, and the owner of a small business. He and his wife Jessica have been married for 16 years and have 5 children.
Overstreet is currently serving his first term in the Washington State House of Representatives, for which he was elected in 2010 after serving 5 years on the Blaine City Council. He has lived in Whatcom County for 28 years, graduating from Lynden High School, Whatcom Community College and Bellingham Technical College.
”It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens of the 42nd District in a principled, consistent, conservative manner,” Overstreet said. “I look forward to continuing to serve by example.”
The Vote Overstreet team will hold a campaign kick-off from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17th at Farmer Ben’s Family Farm, located at 1461 Van Dyk Road, Lynden.
