Our fundraising goals were met, and then some!

Under new leadership, Whatcom County Republicans held their annual Lincoln Day Gala at Four Points by Sheraton on Saturday, April 6, 2019. The sold out event exceeded the fundraising goal set by the organizing committee and served to rally supporters for this year’s elections.

In December, Kathy Kershner was to elected to lead the Whatcom Republicans and appointed newly elected State Committeewoman, Jennifer Sefzik, to Chair the event named after our first elected Republican President, Abraham Lincoln.  The theme of this year’s event was, “Raise the Torch for Life, Freedom and Liberty!”

The featured speaker was Rick Green, former Texas State Representative, national speaker, author, and radio host, and founder & president of Patriot Academy, providing young people with valuable education about America’s Constitutional Republic.

Corie Kirk and Vadim Kasko received 2019 Young Republican of the Year awards.  Karl Uppiano was awarded the 2019 Republican of the Year and Dave McEachran was honored with the Bob Wiesen Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of service as Whatcom County Prosecutor.

The Whatcom Republicans actively promote the founding principles of our Constitutional Republic: equal justice for all, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
